Panasonic PABX Account Code

An account code is used to identify incoming and outgoing trunk calls for accounting and billing purposes. First enter the 1 to 10-digit account code and then connect to the outside line. The account code is appended to the SMDR call record. The account code is appended to the SMDR call record. For intercom calls, an account code can be entered at any time. However, when making trunk calls, the two modes to enter an account code are shown below. One of the modes is selected for each extension on a COS basis. By combining with a 10-digit PIN, you can use the Walking COS function.

Mode Description
Optional : A user can enter an account code if needed at any time desired.
Forced : A user must always enter an account code before seising a trunk.

• Account codes can be stored into system/station speed dial or one-touch dialling keys, to make it easy to enter codes.
• Usable on DISA.

User Benefits
• Provides a way to allocate telephone expenses to specific clients, departments, or projects as a cost accounting tool.
• Does not limit expenses per phone. Account codes are specific to the phone users, not to the phones.
• Provides record-keeping by allowing the user to enter the account code while the call is in progress, without interrupting the conversation or showing any other indication to the outside party.
